The Haleyville Board of Education has named Alex De Leon as head football coach for the Haleyville Lions. The announcement came after a special called board meeting at 7:00 this morning.
Haleyville High School Principal Doctor Davey Reed announced the news to the team at their workout this morning. Reed said the positive results of De Leon’s leadership as interim head coach led the board to make it permanent.
De Leon said in a statement that he will work to “build young men who make their families, school, and community proud. We will represent Haleyville the right way.”
