The Winston County Commission has set Saturday, October 4, 2025 as the County-wide Cleanup Day in coordination with County Transfer Station in Haleyville, Pace Ind. Landfill in Lynn, and Hyche Landfill in Addison. Landfills will be open to the public for free from 8am until noon.
Only appliances with freon removed from them will be accepted.
The following will not be accepted: household batteries, lead acid batteries, oil, paint, or aerosol cans, chemicals, styrofoam, televisions, or household garbage.
There will be a limit of 4 tires per vehicle or load. No Commercial or Industrial waste. Loads are limited to one load per household.
Please take this opportunity to clean-up on your road and around your house and haul it to your nearest landfill.
