Steve Reace Hill, born on May 10, 1955, now age 70, of Russellville, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
Steve was a Christian and a member of Bethsaida Baptist Church. He was a well-liked man who enjoyed being around people. He was a truck driver for a long time. He was the former owner of Clement Hill Furniture in Muscle Shoals with his wife, Darlene, and son, Jason. Steve was a devoted Alabama fan and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his Mama Moles who raised him; his mother Ernestine Hill; brothers, Bud, Jimmy Wayne, and Mike Hill; and sister, Judy Kimbrough.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 36 years, Darlene Clement Hill; two sons, Matt Knight (Sarah), Jason Hill (Tiffany); one daughter, Dana Massey (Kevin); grandchildren who he dearly loved, Kaleigh Massey, Noah Knight, Caden Hill, Drake Massey, Keely Massey, Kyler Hill, Luke Knight, Levi Knight; brothers-in-law, Raymond Clement (Joyce), Harold Kimbrough; and several nieces & nephews. He also leaves three special friends, Mechele, Linda M. and Winford at the apartments.
The visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Bethsaida Baptist Church. The funeral service will start at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Bro. Clay Rollo officiating the service and granddaughter, Kaleigh Massey, reading the obituary. The burial will be in the adjourning church cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Drake Massey, Noah Knight, Derek Gandy, Donald Dotson, Troy Batey, and Matthew Knight. The honorary pallbearers will be Caden Hill, Kyler Hill, Kevin Massey, Luke Knight, Levi Knight, Dewayne Clement, Jimmy Montgomery, and Kenneth Clement.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the nurses, doctors, and staff of North Alabama Medical Center, especially our special nurses Cameron and Andrea for the love you all have shown to our family.
