Thurston Stephen “Steve” Hendrix, age 76 of Double Springs, passed away November 27, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born April 30, 1949 to Thurston and Mae Hendrix. Steve enjoyed spending time with his family and working on his cattle farm. He loved helping people and going to church. Steve was very strong in his faith, told people about the lord everywhere he went.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 29, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Double Springs. Brother Danny Page and Brother Mickey Millican will officiate.
Thurston is survived by his wife, Mary Hendrix; sons, Michael (Tammy) Hendrix and Danny (Brandy) Hendrix; grandchildren, Cade Hendrix, Carley Hendrix and Jace Hendrix; sisters, Rita (Terry) Tidwell and Brenda (Paul) Pennington; brother, Tim (Cheryl) Hendrix; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thurston Earl Hendrix; mother, Mae Laturive Jones; infant brother, Gregory Hendrix.
