Reba “Sue” Parris, age 80 of The Helicon Community, passed away October 21, 2025.
She was born November 20, 1944 to Athel and Magolene Laney. Sue enjoyed sewing, cooking and keeping her home tidy. She loved to travel and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Helicon.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church in The Helicon community, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Brother Greg Dollar and Brother Robin Key will officiate.
Sue is survived by her husband of 64 years, Buddy Parris; children, Steven (Kimberly) Parris and Tonya (Robin) Key; grandchildren, Maci (Dylan) Earnest, Ally (Will) Rhodes, Caleb Woodard and Jacob Woodard; grandchildren, Eleanor Earnest and Emelia Earnest; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Athel and Magolene Laney; sisters, Margie Pigg, Shirley Speegle and Paulette Lawrence.
