Nadine S. Abbott, age 83, of Houston, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Walker Baptist Hospital in Jasper, Alabama.
She was born on January 18, 1943, to Junior and Lela Spillers. Nadine was kindhearted and had a deep love for children, but her greatest joy came from being a grandmother. She also enjoyed gardening and took pride in making things grow. She will be truly missed by all who had the honor of being loved by her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, followed by a graveside service at Pleasant Hill #1 in Houston.
Nadine is survived by her sons, Timothy Carl (Ann) and John David (Teresa); sister, Fayrene Daniel; sister-in-law, Betty Abbott; grandchildren, Matt (Natalie) Abbott, Joseph (Jocelyn) Abbott, Matthew Gunter, and Morgan (Steven) Martin; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Carlton Abbott; daughter, Patricia Ann Boyd; grandson, Joshua Todd Abbott; and her parents, Junior and Lela Spillers.
