Melvin May, age 65, of Haleyville passed away April 23, 2026, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
He was born on August 3, 1960 to Thomas and Lillian May. Melvin loved to spend his time fishing, hunting, and anything to do with the outdoors. He spent the rest of his time working on four-wheeler and motorcycles. Melvin was a life-long member of South Haleyville Church of God.
Melvin is survived by his wife Vicky May; sons, Melvin V. May and Keith A. May; stepdaughters, Victoria D. (James) Clark and Tabatha G. (Jonathan) Hickson; grandchildren, Haylie, Gavin, Clayton, Emma, Carson, Bentley, Grayson, Justin, Remington, Patience, and Allysa.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lillian May; and siblings, Tommy, Carol, Peggy, and Jim.
