Mary Carolyn Cummings Baker, age 81 of Spruce Pine, passed away December 26, 2025.
Carolyn was born in Spruce Pine, AL June 28, 1944, to Lawrence and Melba Bentley Cummings. Carolyn graduated from Phil Campbell High School and received a BS degree in Home Economics from University of North Alabama. After graduating, she moved to Atlanta, GA and began working at Bellsouth Telephone where she retired.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jane Brewer (Bob), Ann Barbour (Walter) and brother Lawrence Cummings, Jr. and brother-in-law Bobby Brown.
Carolyn is survived by husband, Kenneth Baker; son, Michael Baker; sister, Sue Bowen; grandchildren, Courtney Nelson (Jay), Kendall Kinsey (Jason) and Karoline Landmon (Ryan) and six great grandchildren and a very dear friend Kelly Hulsey.
Carolyn was a member of Spruce Pine Church of Christ. Graveside services will be announced at a later date.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville is assisting the family.
