The Haleyville Lady Lions won the 4A Area 10 Championship tonight, defeating the Fayette County Lady Tigers by a score of 59 to 46. It’s the first area championship for the team since 2019, and they advance to the 4A Subregional game Friday night. The Lady Lions will host that game in Haleyville, with a 6:00 pm tipoff.
Kenna Turner led the Lady Lions in scoring with 23 points, followed by Andi Romine with 10, Izzy Coleman with 8, Elis Godsey with 7, Nevaeh Henderson with 6, Cydney Yeager with 4, and Hope Swims with 1. Elis Godsey also supported the team with 14 rebounds.
