Kay Souder Hughes age 83 of Fultondale, AL passed away Monday, July 27, 2026 in the St Vincent’s Medical Center in Birmingham, AL.
Born October 31, 1942 in Bemidji, Minnesota, she is the daughter of the late Frank and Helen Worth Souder. She had lived in Fultondale the past 23 years and worked as a finical advisor for Raymond James. She was a member of the Haleyville Methodist Church.
She is survived by 2 sisters, Peggy Lewis and Patty Gann, a brother, John Souder (Renita), 8 nieces and nephews, Alan, Amy, Misty, Jeff, Chuck, Mark, Cheryl, and Lorie, and special friends and co-workers, Peppi, Melisa, Tim, Lindsey, Jessica, Marilyn and Robin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Susan Abernathy.
A Celebration Of Life Service held from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Saturday, August 1, 2026 at the Haleyville Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
