Joshua Thomas Hasting, age 18, of Haleyville passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Lakeland Community Hospital.
He was born December 18, 2006 to Joshua F. Bunn and Amanda Dawn Hasting. Joshua was full of life! His infectious smile lit up every room he walked in. Joshua was a hard worker who never met a stranger. He had an amazing sense of humor. Joshua enjoyed the outdoors, racing, and attending church with his mother.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m at Prospect Independent Church in Nauvoo, where Joshua will Lie in State Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Double Springs. Pastor Ricky White and Pastor Chad Beavers will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Jaylon Hill, Trent Pugh, Ethan McBroom, Devin McBroom, Joshua Lapeyrouse, and Joey Beam.
Joshua is survived by his mother, Amanda Dawn Hasting; stepfathers, Jamie (Rebecca) Hill and Justin Sartin; fiancé, Savanah Beam; sisters, Chloe E. Hill, Kara Bunn, and Angie Bunn; brothers, Jaylon Hill, Jon Bunn, and Joshua Bunn; grandparents, Dawn Bunn, Steve and Vickey Carmichelle, and Sam and Lisa Heath; and a host of aunts, uncles, family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joshua F. Bunn; grandparents, Joan Rice, Judy Hill, Tommy Hasting, and James Hill; great grandparents, Mitchell and Charlotte Bowen; and uncle, Wayne Rice.
