Joe Berry, age 77, of Double Springs passed away Friday August 14, 2026, at Lakeland Community Hospital in Haleyville. He was born September 27, 1948 to Hubert and Pamelia Berry.
Visitation will be Monday August 17, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs where the service will be held the following day on Tuesday August 18 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Double Springs Memorial Gardens.
Joe is survived by his children, Shelby (Tim) Hixen, Felicia (Brent) Hood, and Justin (Beth) Berry; grandchildren, Liz (Chelsea Chancellor) Denard, Logan (Nicole) Blake, Kayla Stockman, Mason Shadix, Josie (Nick) Hardin, and Johnnie (Alexis) Benefield; great grandchildren, Emma Berry, Joe Berry, Dillon Berry, Sarah Berry, Braden Howton, Ryleigh Howton, Parker Blake, Zoe Johnson, Chloe Blake, Jimmy Tucker III, Breanna Stockman, Destiney Stockman, Abigail Stockman, Mela Hardin, Carter Hardin, and Paisley Benefield; sister, Myrtle Dean (Tony) Dickinson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Pamelia Berry; wife, Kathy Berry; daughters, Relena Berry and Kristina Berry; brother, O’neal Berry; and infant sister.
