Jerry Edward Johnson, age 83, of Nauvoo, Alabama passed away September 14, 2025. He was a retired equipment operator from the Mining Industry and a member of New Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Nauvoo, AL. Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at the church where he will lie in state until service time at 2:00 p.m. Orbie Pierce and Donny Dodd will officiate the service and burial will follow in Ashbank Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his children, Karen (Byron) Pendley, David (Donna) Johnson, Jeremy (Sherry) Johnson and Alex (Whitney) Johnson; sister, Geneva Saulters; grandchildren, Kayla, Erik, Trey, Ty, Kyle, Tyler, Mahyden, Brylie, Kolt and Zoie; great grandchildren, Dalton, Braxton, Aubrey, Lylah, Kayleigh, Rori Beth, Payton, Kyle Russel, McKinley and Kannan; and great great granddaughter, Lydia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver Ezell and Ethel Arilla Johnson; wife, Patricia Gail Johnson; and siblings, Eulene Wallace, Noel Lee Johnson, Olen “Deuce” Johnson, Odis Johnson, Peggy Dickinson, Eugene Johnson, Olivia Jordan and Oliver “Tut” Johnson, Jr.
