William Jeffery “Jeff” Benefield, age 64 of Haleyville, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025 at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence.
He was born April 3, 1961 to William L. and Imogene Farris Benefield. Jeff’s life centered around the love of his life, Terri. Anyone who knew them knew they were inseparable. They were only apart for three days in over 41 years. Jeff was a very private person but loved spending time with his family.
Visitation will be Friday, October 10, 2025 (on Terri’s Birthday) from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery in Haleyville. Brother Michael Threadgill will officiate.
Jeff is survived by his sister, Pamela (David) Cruse; brother, Randall “Keith” Benefield; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Teresa “Terri” Benefield; parents, William and Imogene Benefield; sister, Debbie Wilson; sister-in-law, Jane “Ellen” Benefield; and nephew, Billy Westbrook.
