Eula Jean Parris, age 86 of Addison, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025.
She was born December 21, 1938 to Jessie George Hayes and Savannah Borden Hayes. Jean was the epitome of a true Southern Lady. Her entire life, she only had one pet- her little dog, Chloie. Her hobby was shopping, especially at “Belk’s”. Jean was the oldest continual member of the Addison Church of God (70 plus years). She was a woman of great faith and prayer. Daily she prayed for her family.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 p.m. at Addison Church of God, where the service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Brother Steton Hayes and Brother Rodney Ridgeway will officiate.
Eula is survived by her husband of 69 years, Bobby Joe Parris; daughters, Renda Jean (Stewart) Burden and Kathy Aderholt; grandchildren, Laramy (Stacia) Aderholt, Jeremy Aderholt, Misty Lancaster, and Christy Lancaster; great grandchildren, Isaac (Anna-Kate) Lancaster, Madison Aderholt, Nichole St. John, Jordan Robinson, Caleb Gregory, and Tyden Aderholt; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie George Hayes and Savannah Borden Hayes; sisters, Marie Sewell, Ruby McCrary, Syble Campbell, and Thelma Jarrett; and brothers, Odie Hayes, Ulyess Hayes, and Osie Hayes.
