Janice Sue Daniels, age 76, of Russellville, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026.
Janice, most affectionately known as Mawmaw Janice Sue, was born on December 1, 1949 to William & Dorothy Jackson. She was a 1968 graduate of Russellville High School, graduated Northwest Shoals Community College in 2004, worked for over 20 years at HD Lee’s, and was a lifelong member of North Highlands Church of Christ.
Janice leaves to cherish her life, her loving husband of 43 years, Charlie Daniels; children, Stephanie Gandy (Stevie), Jeffery Smith (Katye); step-children, Patrick Daniels (Carrie), Lara Hall (Jamie); grandchildren, Lauren Hellums (Byron), Jackson Smith, Ryleigh Mae Smith, step-grandchildren Danny Hall (Alexis), Lee Hall, Paige Daniels, Kaci Timmons (Lee); great-grandchildren, Sloan Hellums, Phoebe Hall, Karlie Kalmbach, Delaney Timmons; sister-in-law, Jackie Daniels; niece, Julie Moore (Terry); and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Maysen Ray Smith, Jordan Smith, Jayden Smith; parents, William & Dorothy (Pounders) Jackson; sister, Freida Swindell; and stepdaughter, Marla Corbell.
The visitation will be 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Byron Hellums and Bro. Jeff Johnson speaking at the service. There will no graveside service, but the burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.
The pallbearers will be Terry Moore, Kelley Moore, Barry Moore, Tim Turner, Doug Clement, and Jamie Sumerel. The honorary pallbearers will be Jackson Smith, Jack Hogeland, Danny Hall, and Lee Hall.
