Gerald “Hobby” Walker, born in Haleyville AL. January 6, 1950, entered into eternal rest on March 29, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy illness.
He was a 1968 graduate of Addison High School with extended education degrees from Wallace State Community College in engineering and the University of Alabama and Faulkner University in Law Enforcement and a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Quantico, VA, in 1991.
Hobby is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Bobbie Harris Walker of 41 years. Five children, Lisa Gilbreath (Heidi), Sheila Moore (Aubrey), Todd Walker (Pam), Tanya Walker (Chad) and Jon Gilbreath (Beth). He leaves behind 12 Grandchildren: Casey Moore (Leann), Zack Sanders (Lindsey), Leeann Atkins (John), Samantha Junkin (Evan), Ryan Walker (Lauren), Alizabeth Gilbreath (Greg), Macie Ballard (Zach), Tennyson Gilbreath, Landon Gaddy, Brock Biddle and Finnlee Biddle. 9 Great-Grandchildren, Barrett Moore, Kaden Atkins, Dawson Walker, Levi Moore, Jaxson Walker, Hudson Junkin and Lainey Ballard.
Hobby is proceeded in death by his parents Miller and Murtis Walker and brother Randy Walker.
