Douglas Ray Rice, age 81 of Double Springs, passed away August 29, 2025 at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham. He was born March 06, 1944 to Lewis “Mige” and Verla Rice.
Visitation will be Monday, September 01, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Williams Cemetery. Brother Thomas Curtis will officiate.
Douglas is survived by his son, Patrick Rice; granddaughters, Megan Hall and Malorie Dillon; great granddaughters, Millyona Hall, Jandalyn, Ava Ward and Briella Ward.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ahlene Rice; daughter, Angie Rice.
