The Haleyville Lions’ head golf coach has received a national award following his team’s fourth consecutive state championship.
The National Association of State High School Athletic Associations has selected Coach Jamie White as the boys’ golf coach of the year. In its award citation, the NFHS says the award designates White among the most elite coaches in the country and also names him the sectional and state golf coach of the year for Alabama. Congratulations Coach White, and Roar Lions!
A special event will take place between the girls’ and boys’ varsity basketball games Tuesday night, when the Haleyville Lions Golf Team will be presented with their state championship rings. Be sure to go show your support for the team and coach Jamie White.
The Haleyville Lions will host Fayette in tomorrow night’s games. Tune in around 6pm to hear both the girls’ and boys’ varsity basketball broadcasts, on 92.7 FM and on our website’s worldwide audio stream.
