Clayton Craig Hennessy, Jr., age 66 of Double Springs, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025 at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham.
He was born June 30, 1959 to Clayton Hennessy, Sr. and Edna Tucker Scott. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill No.2 Baptist Church Cemetery in the Ashridge Community. Brother Wesley Hampton will officiate.
Clayton is survived by his wife, Betty Cagle Franks Hennessy; sons, Michael Franks, Timothy (Felicia) Franks; and Christopher (Melissa) Franks; grandchildren, Bynum Franks, Eli Franks, Cayden (Jake) Hood, and Haley Thorton; great grandchildren, Waylen Moody and Grayson Hood; father, Alfred Scott; one sister; several stepbrothers and sisters; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Scott.
