Charles Dan Mullins, age 84 of Brilliant, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025 at his residence.
Mr. Mullins was born on May 6, 1941 in Haleyville, Alabama to Charles and Ila Beauchamp Mullins. He was a member of Goldmine Church of Christ and a 1958 graduate of Brilliant High School. Dan spent his career as a dedicated and successful business owner in the coal industry. Outside of work, Dan enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid NASCAR and Alabama football fan and loved watching westerns. Above all, he took pride in working hard and staying busy.
Mr. Mullins is survived by his wife of 37 years, Martha Mullins, his son, Chuck Mullins (Tina), his daughter, Dana Anderson (Ronny), stepson, Rodney Guthrie (Jade), grandchildren, Drew Mullins,(Lisa Ann), Ben Mullins (Loreanna), Milah Luster (Eric), Madeline Foster (Noah), and William Guthrie, great grandchildren, Charlotte Ray Mullins, Jameson Winn Mullins, Nhyomi Luster, and Nehlani Luster, and a host of other family members and friends.
Mr. Mullins was preceded in death by his parents, and a stepson, Greg Guthrie.
A graveside service for Mr. Mullins will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. from the Goldmine Church of Christ Cemetery.
