Carolyn Jean Dawson Davis, age 87, of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Burns Nursing Home.
Carolyn married the love of her life, Bobby Ray Davis. She loved being his military wife, loved the travel, explore new locations, and always made sure his uniforms were clean and pressed. She worked at the State Employment Office in Sheffield for over twenty years until her retirement. She attended First Methodist Church in Russellville until her health prevented her from going. She loved watching Braves baseball and eating Little Debbie Cakes. She loved her grandchildren and always enjoyed spending time with her family.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters, Peggy Morris (John), Donna Clement (Kenny); grandchildren, Ryne Clement, Kendra Howard (Nick), Jessie Morris (Leonard Castillo); great-grandchildren, Case Howard, Landry Howard, Livvy Clement, Leo Castillo, Weston Castillo, Adalynn Castillo, Johnny Castillo; sisters, Linda Smith, Kaye Oliver (Wyatt), Terri Hardy; and a host of nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Davis; great-granddaughter, Collins Rae Howard; parents, Henry & Merle (Stanley) Dawson; siblings, Ray Dawson, Jerry Dawson, Marie Keenum, Faye Sockwell, Shirley Meadows, Lynn Johnson, and Ann Bolton.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026, at Franklin Memory Gardens. Speaking at the service will be Kenny Clement.
The pallbearers will be John Morris, Leonard Castillo, Nick Howard, Ryne Clement, and Case Howard.
