Alisa Fox McNatt passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025. She was born on December 14, 1954, to John Alton Sr. and Hedy Fox. Alisa was a devoted mother, cherished Nana, loving sister, and a dear friend to many.
On October 18, 1979, Alisa married the love of her life, Marlon Dexter McNatt Jr., and they shared 41 years of marriage. She dedicated many years of service as an aide at Phil Campbell Elementary and High School, where she touched the lives of countless students and staff with her kindness and care.
Above all, Alisa loved her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and pride.
Alisa was preceded in death by her husband, Marlon Dexter McNatt Jr.; her son, Donnie Bouwmans; her parents, John Alton Sr. and Hedy Fox; and her brother, John Alton Fox Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Tessa Benford, and son-in-law Josh Benford; her beloved granddaughters, Brandtley and Kinsley Benford; her grandson, Skylar Bouwmans (Ashley); her great-grandchildren, Amberly and SJ Bouwmans; her brother, Paul Fox (Shelly); her sister-in-law, Martha Cooley (Tony); her sister-in-law and dear friend, Teresa Fox; along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Terrace Manor Nursing Home, Hospice of North Alabama, and Tharptown Baptist Church for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time.
