Alan “Al” Wayne Phillips was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 8th, 1954. He passed away July 28th, 2025 at the age of 71. Al and his family moved from Michigan to Alabama when he was two years old. Al is a 1972 graduate of Phillips High School, where he lettered in several high school sports. Al was inducted into the Marion Co. Hall of Fame in 2009. Al married his wife of 49 years, Debra Ann Phillips, on April 16th, 1971. Al worked in the mobile home business for more than 50 years to support his family.
Visitation will be Thursday July 31, 2025 from 10:00AM – 12:00NOON at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. Funeral service at 12:00NOON in the chapel, with Bro. Ricky Mann and Bro. George Whitten officiating. Burial to follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.

Al is survived by his wife, Debra Ann Phillips; son, Jonathan Alan Phillips (wife Mandy); granddaughter, Reagan LaShae Phillips and grandson Jonathan Dawson Phillips; sisters, Patti Phillips Webber and Vicki J. Phillips.
Al was preceded in death by his dad, Jackie Wayne Phillips and mother, Jo Ann Miller.
