The American Legion Auxiliary Unit #33 of Haleyville is partnering with the City of Haleyville in their 2025 Banner Program, paying tribute to locals who have served in the military.
The Whitehead Post of the American Legion will accept in-person applications every Saturday in February from 9 to 11am at the Legion Hall. Please bring a good photo 8×10 (or smaller) photo with information on your veteran such as rank, branch of service, years of service and any combat or medals of valor they received.
$175 gets you a large banner with brackets included, which will be displayed in a public place around town. The City of Haleyville will graciously hang these banners on light or utility poles for all to see.
You may also purchase a small yard banner for $30 that may be placed in your yard or on a grave.
